The School of Entrepreneurship Skills has organised a Certificate Award Ceremony wherein the Principals of schools, Deputy Registrar, HRO, Faculty Members, Trainers, Officials and students took part where Dr. (Brig.) Surjit Singh Pabla, Vice Chancellor, BSDU announced establishment of an incubation center in the new campus where students can execute and evaluate their dream ventures and incubate business ventures.
School of Entrepreneurship Skills (SES) conducted Business Idea Competition to bring out the extraordinary innovative ideaswhere the students participated with enthusiasm. A three-member committee screened the applications and innovative ideas were shortlisted after which the students were asked to make presentations. The ideas/concepts range from Chalo Chale (GPS device for transport), All Saloon App (Beauty & Nature), Waste to Energy, Stress Management Course, Manufacturing of Fuel Meter, Making Sports Gun, Children Technology Park etc. App for providing Refrigeration and Air Conditioning services, Online Stitching Centre and Skill Development School in rural areas have bagged the first, second and third prize respectively.
Dr. (Brig.) Surjit Singh Pabla, Vice Chancellor, BSDUin his addresscongratulated the winners and appreciated all the participants. He further added that,“School of Entrepreneurship Skills is creating leaders of tomorrow who will generateemploymentfor many unemployed. BSDU is establishing an Incubation Centre in the new campus which will incubate the students inclined to start small ventures. Students should focus on the important learnings like how to choose a business idea, to source finance, to establish, to operate, to manage,etc”. He exhorted the students to put their best efforts and promised that BSDU will create all facilities with all possible support.
Dr Pabla, along with Registrar, Controller of Examinations awarded the cash prizes to the winners and participation certificates to the students who participated actively in the competition.
