Jaipur, Dec 18th 2018: Shri LK Advani released the poetry collection of Ravi Sharma titled “Bheegi Ret” on his birthday in a spectacular ceremony on 10th Dec in Delhi in the presence of the Chairman of Indira Gandhi National Center for Arts Shri Ram Bahadur Rai, literature critics and poetry lovers. Ravi Sharma is a philanthropist, social worker, poet, thinker and founder of Prama Jyoti Foundation that has objective of Spreading Goodness. Bheegi Ret is dedicated to the distinguished Indian Poet Shri Harivansh Rai Bachchan Ji.
Shri LK Advani has written introduction of the poet Ravi Sharma in the book starting with following lines:
“Although I came in contact with Ravi ji late but his persona has left a great imprint on my heart. The kind of affinity and closeness I feel towards Ravi Sharma ji just in a short period of time that I have felt with very few people in my life.”
At the occasion of launch of “Bheegi Ret “he added:
“I feel proud to release this collection of poems written by Ravi Sharma ji. Whoever heard his poem on Mother, felt like there cannot be a better poet than him. My introduction to Ravi ji was through his political thoughts and I learnt a lot from them. “
The chairman of India Gandhi National Center for Arts and distinguished guest for the evening Shri Ram Bahadur Rai said at the book launch:
“The poems in Bheegi Ret truly belong to 21st century. They are full of emotions and as if emotions are talking to each other. I personally liked the Gazal ‘Mujhko mere lamhon ka hisaab chahiye…’ most in this book.”
Shri Prabhat Kumar of Prabhat Prakashan said:
“The emotions depicted in poems of Bheegi Ret are stimulating, touching and present us to human feelings. These poems incite us for doing something for the society and cherish all our relationships. “
The writer of Bheegi Ret Ravi Sharma said in his address:
“Bheegi Ret is inspired by writings of eminent poet Sri Harivansh Rai Bachchan and therefore all its poems are predominantly emotional and have a reflection of different emotions of life. Bheegi ret is a collection of independent poems, songs, and gazals. I hope readers will be able to positively relate with the feelings and sentiments of ‘Bheegi Ret’.”
Gifted with multifaceted talents, Ravi Sharma is an IIT Roorkee graduate. Once a state level badminton player Ravi has worked as a CEO of many multinational and national companies for more than 14 years. He is also a life coach, poet, photographer ,motivational speaker , TV presenter, model and actor.
At the age of 50 Ravi changed the course of his life and submitted himself for the service of society. He believes that the genesis of all problems of the world lies in shrinking goodness in our lives. To address this challenge of the world, he has started a global initiative called “Spreading Goodness” through his NGO Prama Jyoti Foundation.
Growing up in villages and small towns of Uttar Pradesh Ravi developed an interest in Hindi literature early in life. He has been writing short stories and poems in Hindi since his college days. Three years ago, he had released his musical album named ‘Moonlight Whispers’ where his songs were sung by famous singers like Shri Udit Narayan and Smt. Rekha Bhardwaj.
