AICTE Vice Chairman visits Bhartiya Skill Development University, Jaipur

Jaipur, 18^th January, 2019:

Prof. (Dr.) M.P. Poonia, Vice Chairman, All India Council of Technical Education, was on a visit to Bhartiya Skill Development University where he spent more than three hours with principals of different schools and staff discussing various issues pertaining to AICTE approval process.

BSDU is a unique skill development university in India with a vision to create global excellence in skill development sector by creating opportunities, space and scope for the development of talents of Indian youth and by making them globally fit to play an important role in the best manufactories.

It is because of his keen interest in skill development and technical training which is in congruence with BSDU’s vision and mission that Prof. (Dr.) M.P. Poonia apprised BSDU staff members about the procedure of receiving AICTE approval for various courses and programs taught at BSDU.  He furthermore explained the benefits of the various schemes launched by AICTE. He also explained the registration process for registering BSDU on AICTE portal for internship of B.Tech students and training programs for Entrepreneurship skills. Dr. Poonia discussed on the conduct of “Training of Trainers (TOT) from AICTE recognized Institutes” for skill courses running at BSDU.

Dr. M.P. Poonia himself is specialized in the field of Mechanical Engineering, Renewable Energy and Sustainable Development. He is M.Tech (Thermal Engg.) and Ph.D from Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi. He possesses a vast experience of 30 years.

Vice Chairman, AICTE, Prof.  (Dr.) M.P. Poonia, appreciated the infrastructure, equipment, type of training provided at BSDU. He concluded the visit stating, ‘”A great experience, unforgettable and never imagined that such infrastructure with extreme ambience is available in India. Superb faculty members with strong understanding and bonding.”  Dr Poonia was accompanied by Registrar of BSDU, Prof. Achintya Choudhury; Dean, Dr. Kumkum Garg and Principals of various schools.

Remarkable to note is that Prof. Anil D. Sahasrabudhe, Chairman AICTE also have visited the university on multiple other occasions where he always have appreciated efforts of BSDU towards skill development.
