CII AFRICA SEMINAR SERIES 2018 The Land of Unexplored Potential Trade and Investment Opportunities for Indian Companies

Jaipur, February 07, 2019:  Export-Import Bank of India (Exim Bank) participated in a seminar to disseminate information on the tremendous potential that Africa has, in terms of trade and investment opportunities for Indian companies. The seminar was organized by the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) in Indore.

The African Mission Representatives participated in the seminar, which provided a platform for discussions on trade and investment opportunities in various sectors in their respective countries. There was also information sharing regarding setting up of operations in Africa, support assistance provided by the Government of India, financing options for doing business in Africa and experience sharing by Indian companies doing business with Africa.

Exim Bank elaborated on the financing initiatives and activities in Africa including Buyer’s Credit, Lines of Credit, Guarantee Facilities, finance for joint ventures, social impact of these projects, research studies on potential of trade with Africa, the establishment of the Project Development Company in Africa amongst other initiatives.
