Jaipur, March 5, 2019: SpiceJet, the country’s favourite carrier, today announced the launch of 12 new direct flights encompassing international, UDAN as well as regular domestic routes. All flights on the domestic sectors are effective from 31st March, 2019 while the international flight will commence operations on 15th April, 2019.
The airline is all set to expand its international footprint with the introduction of direct flights on the Hyderabad-Colombo-Hyderabad route. SpiceJet is the first Indian budget carrier to service the route and will operate on all days except Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
Reaffirming, the airline’s conviction on UDAN, SpiceJet also announced six new flights on the Kishangarh-Ahmedabad-Kishangarh, Lakhimpur-Guwahati-Lakhimpur and Jaipur-Amritsar-Jaipur sectors which were awarded to the airline under the third round of the Regional Connectivity Scheme. SpiceJet will be the first and only Indian airline to operate flights between Kishangarh-Ahmedabad-Kishangarh and Jaipur-Amritsar-Jaipur. The airline will operate daily flights between Guwahati-Lakhimpur-Guwahati and Jaipur-Amritsar-Jaipur while flights between Ahmedabad and Kishangarh will be operational on all days of the week except Sundays.
With an aim to further reinforce its network in South India, SpiceJet announced four new daily direct flights connecting Chennai with Patna and Surat. The airline will be the first carrier to operate flights on the Chennai-Patna-Chennai sector.

SpiceJet sees huge demand to and from Kishangarh and Lakhimpur and has hence augmented connectivity from these cities. Currently, the airline flies to Delhi and Kolkata from Kishangarh and Lakhimpur respectively.
With the launch of its services between Hyderabad and Colombo, SpiceJet will connect the Sri Lankan capital with three direct flights from India. The airline currently connects the city with single daily frequencies from Chennai and Madurai each. Most of the tourists from India visit Sri Lanka to explore its pristine beaches alongside the 1,600 km of palm fringed coastline, rich culture and especially to visit places related to the great epic Ramayana which has religious and mythological significance.
SpiceJet is celebrating the launch by announcing an introductory all inclusive promotional fare starting at INR 6499/- on Hyderabad-Colombo, INR 7599/- on Colombo-Hyderabad, INR 2464/- on Ahmedabad-Kishangarh, INR 2464/- on Kishangarh-Ahmedabad, INR 1931/- on Guwahati-Lakhimpur, INR 1931/- on Lakhimpur-Guwahati, INR 3911/- on Chennai-Patna, INR 3973/- on Patna-Chennai, INR 2599/- on Chennai-Surat, INR 2599/- on Surat-Chennai, INR 2837/- on Jaipur-Amritsar and INR 2933/- on Amritsar- Jaipur routes.
The airline will be deploying its Bombardier Q-400 aircraft on the UDAN routes while the international sector and the regular domestic routes will be served using its fleet of Boeing 737-800.
With the new flights, passengers from Colombo, Kishangarh, Lakhimpur, Guwahati, Jaipur, Amritsar, Patna, and Surat will be able to easily travel to a host of other cities both on SpiceJet’s domestic as well as international network via multiple onward connections from key metros.
At present, SpiceJet operates 23 flights under UDAN on the routes of Kolkata-Lakhimpur-Kolkata, Delhi-Kishangarh-Delhi, Kolkata-Pakyong-Kolkata, Guwahati-Pakyong-Guwahati, Mumbai-Porbandar, Mumbai-Kandla-Mumbai, Hyderabad-Puducherry-Hyderabad, Jaipur-Jaisalmer-Jaipur, Delhi-Adampur-Delhi, Ahmedabad-Jaisalmer-Ahmedabad, Surat-Jaisalmer-Surat and Delhi-Kanpur-Delhi.

SpiceMax
